1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster Joins DFW Car & Toy Museum's Ron Sturgeon Collection

The DFW Car & Toy Museum has recently added a 1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster to its Ron Sturgeon Collection, a vehicle celebrated for its mint green exterior and comprehensive restoration. This model, featuring a 2.0-liter U20 inline-four engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, represents the analog driving experience that made Datsun a favorite among enthusiasts and racers.

Inside, the Roadster boasts a rejuvenated cabin with black reupholstered seats, new carpeting, and a replacement dashboard. The addition of a Momo Veloce steering wheel and vintage instrumentation, including a 160-mph speedometer and 7k redline tachometer, enhances its authentic appeal. Ron Sturgeon highlights the Datsun 2000 Roadster's significance in the evolution of Japanese sports cars, emphasizing its mint condition and restoration as key attractions.

This vehicle is part of a larger exhibition at the museum, which features over 200 collector cars and 3,000 vintage toys, all celebrating the rich history of automotive and toy design.
