Jennifer Storm & Shannon Mumley

Have you been to downtown Buda, TX? If you haven’t, make it part of your next trip on IH-35. Escape the frontage road and quickly find yourself in small town, rural Texas. Look around and you will see the Buda EDC is doing big things! Traveling around the State, it is fun to celebrate the personalities building the future of Texas. Jennifer Storm and Shannon Mumley are on a mission! Enjoy hearing about this small town blooming in the economic halo around Austin and extending into the Texas Hill Country.

Jennifer Storm is the Chief Executive Officer of the Buda Economic Development Corporation. She is proud to call herself Buda’s #1 Fan. Having lived here for 11 years, raising her family, and putting down roots, Jennifer has been involved in many community organizations. She is passionate about building a better Buda by supporting small businesses, carefully curating a mix of new businesses, and on a mission to take her boys to all 50 states (currently 30 for the boys and 48 for Jennifer).

Shannon Mumley has worked in a variety of fields, including health care, higher education, food service, start-ups, and then economic development, while she earned her master’s degree in Organizational Psychology. She discovered her passion while working for The Regional Chamber in Hartford, Metro Hartford Alliance, building communities and helping towns/cities grow through business. She was the Director of Small Business Development for the Hartford Chamber of Commerce in Connecticut prior to joining the Buda EDC as an EDC Specialist, within two years she was promoted to Assistant Director. She was honored with the 40 Under 40 award for the Hartford Business Journal in 2019. I live life to the fullest with a jam-packed schedule, including walks with my dog, Trivia, coffee dates with friends at Embrace the grind, hiking with my partner Tyler and I am an active member of Austin Sports and Social Volleyball.
